YOUR CHALLENGE IS NOT THE END

Scripture Reading

Genesis 37:5-11

"[5]. And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more "

Reflection

DEVOTIONAL Joseph received dreams that pointed toward his future, but the people around him did not celebrate what they heard. His brothers became jealous, and their actions created painful obstacles in his journey. This teaches us that people may misunderstand, oppose, or even discourage what God is doing in our lives. However, we must also remember that not every challenge is necessarily God’s plan. Some difficulties come from human choices, and we should respond with wisdom, humility, and discernment. Do not allow opposition to make you abandon every good thing God has placed in your heart. At the same time, learn to protect your plans, seek wise counsel, and avoid sharing every detail with everyone. REFLECTION Have I allowed someone’s opinion to make me give up on a God-given goal? Do I need to become more discerning about whom I share my plans with? How can I respond to opposition without becoming bitter? DECLARATION I declare that opposition will not make me abandon God’s purpose for my life. I receive wisdom to recognize the right counsel, humility to learn, and courage to keep growing. I will not be controlled by jealousy, fear, or discouragement. God is guiding my steps, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer

Lord, give me wisdom in my relationships and help me respond to opposition with maturity. Teach me when to speak, when to remain silent, and when to seek counsel. Strengthen my heart to remain faithful to You. Amen.
