Scripture Reading
Exodus 14:22
"So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side."
Reflection
DEVOTIONAL: God's plan ultimately leads us toward the freedom and purpose He has prepared for us. The Israelites could not understand why God was leading them through such a difficult route. They complained because they could only see the immediate struggle. But God could see beyond the wilderness. He was taking them out of slavery and toward a new life. Sometimes God's direction may initially feel uncomfortable. He may ask you to leave something familiar, change your direction, learn something new, or wait for the right opportunity. Don't judge God's plan only by how difficult the journey feels. REFLECTION: Is there something God may be asking me to leave behind so that I can move into a new season? DECLARATION: I am moving forward into God's purpose for my life. I am not going backward. Every limitation that has held me back is losing its power, and I am walking into the freedom and purpose God has prepared for me. Amen.
Prayer
Lord, help me to trust Your direction even when the journey is uncomfortable. Lead me away from anything that is holding me back from Your purpose for my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
