WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR HOUSE?

"And Elisha said unto her, what shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house?"

Reflection

Devotional Thought: The widow in 2 Kings 4 was facing a serious financial crisis. Her husband had died, debts remained, and her children were at risk of being taken by the creditors. Yet Elisha did not begin by focusing on what she lacked. He asked her a powerful question: “What do you have in the house?” Her answer was simple: a jar of oil. What looked insignificant became the starting point for her breakthrough. Sometimes we focus so much on what we don't have that we fail to recognize what God has already placed in our hands. You may have a skill. You may have an idea. You may have knowledge. You may have a talent. You may have a small business. You may have a relationship. You may have an opportunity. Your breakthrough may not begin with something new arriving from outside. It may begin with you recognizing, developing, and using what you already have. Notice also that the woman was instructed to borrow vessels. She had to take action. Her oil multiplied as she acted on the instruction she received. Your next level may require prayer, but it may also require action. Ask yourself today: What do I have? What can I do? Who can I reach? What can I improve? What opportunity am I ignoring? Do not despise your little beginning. Put what you have to work. REFLECTION What has God already placed in my hands that I have been overlooking? What practical action can I take today with what I have? DECLARATION I recognize the gifts, skills, ideas, opportunities, and resources God has placed in my hands. I will not despise small beginnings. I receive wisdom to multiply what I have. My little becomes much in the hands of God. I enter a new realm of fruitfulness, productivity, and multiplication.
