OBEDIENCE AND SERVICE

Scripture Reading

Job 36:11

"If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures."

Reflection

Devotional Thought: Prosperity in the Kingdom operates according to principles. One of those principles is obedience and service. God's instructions are not meant to frustrate us. They are designed to position us for His purposes and blessings. Obedience means doing what God says, even when it is inconvenient. Service means becoming useful to God and to people rather than living only for yourself. Many people desire the rewards of prosperity without embracing the principles that produce it. They want increase but avoid responsibility. They want to be served but do not want to serve. God can use your service as a platform for growth, relationships, experience, favor, and opportunities. Do not despise seemingly small assignments. Serve faithfully. Obey completely. Your faithfulness today can become the foundation for greater opportunities tomorrow. REFLECTION What has God instructed me to do that I have delayed? Where can I become more useful through service? DECLARATION I receive grace to obey God completely. I receive a heart that delights in serving. I will not run from responsibility. My obedience will position me for God's purposes, and my faithful service will produce fruit in my life.

Prayer

Father, give me a heart that obeys You without resistance. Remove laziness, pride, and selfishness from me. Help me to serve faithfully wherever You have placed me. Let my obedience and service produce lasting fruit and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
