STOP WAITING; START WORKING.

Scripture Reading

2 Thessalonians 3:10

"If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat."

Reflection

KEY NOTE The final lesson is direct: Stop waiting for results from actions you have not taken. The sermon emphasizes that Psalm 1:3 says “whatever he does shall prosper,” not simply whatever he wishes for or talks about. There is nothing wrong with praying for your future. But prayer must be accompanied by responsible action. If you have a talent, develop it. If you have an idea, work on it. If you have a skill, improve it. If you have an opportunity, use it. If you have a responsibility, take it seriously. Don’t spend your entire life talking about what you are going to do. Do something. Work may be difficult, but doing nothing will not produce the harvest you desire. REFLECTION What am I waiting for that I can start doing today? I must stop procrastinating and begin working with what God has given me. DECLARATION I will stop waiting and start working. I will develop my gifts, use my opportunities, and take responsibility. I reject laziness and procrastination. The work of my hands is blessed, and I will produce good results.

Prayer

Father, I receive grace to work diligently and wisely. Deliver me from laziness, excuses and procrastination. Give me the discipline to take action and the wisdom to follow Your principles. May the work of my hands produce good results and become a blessing to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen
