Scripture Reading
Genesis 2:15
"Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it."
Reflection
KEY NOTE From the beginning, God established the principle of work. Adam was placed in the garden with responsibility. He was told to tend and keep it. The sermon also uses the example of a farmer who repeatedly prayed for a harvest but planted no seed. When he finally sowed and worked the farm, the harvest came. The lesson is simple: You cannot harvest what you refuse to plant. Your gift needs development. Your idea needs action. Your vision needs work. Your talent needs discipline. Stop waiting for everything to magically change. Find something meaningful to do. Develop your skills. Serve. Learn. Build. Improve. REFLECTION What has God placed in my hands that I have not developed? My gifts, ideas, and opportunities require action. DECLARATION My hands are blessed for productive work. I will not be lazy. I will develop what God has placed in me and produce results through diligence.
Prayer
Lord, bless the work of my hands. Give me discipline, creativity, wisdom and endurance. Help me turn my abilities and opportunities into something productive. Amen.
