Luke 6:27-35
" [35] But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil."
Reflection
Key Thought: Do not allow someone's behavior to determine your character. Sometimes you will do good and receive evil in return. You may help someone who later hurts or disappoints you. But Christ calls us to a higher standard. Do not let someone's wickedness turn you into someone you are not. Doing good is not weakness. It is Christ being revealed through you. Declaration: I will not repay evil with evil. I am empowered to do good.
Prayer
Lord, help me to respond with love instead of bitterness and to continue doing what is right.
